Recently reunited with their American Idol Big Mike Lynche (#4 Idol Season Nine), EAST COAST is poised to thrill yet another generation of fans.

As determined by reviews from past clients, East Coast has received the WeddingWire Bride’s Choice Award 2013, which recognizes the top five percent of Wedding Professionals nationwide. We feel that public performance gives us huge competitive advantages. Our clients drop by to get to know us and we stay sharp with new material and the opportunity to see what is working on the dance floor! We are a band that works, not one that sits around waiting for the phone to ring.

There will be a live performance of East Coast at the Wedding Showcase at the INN at New Hyde Park. East Coast Band and Band/DJ Formal Wedding Music Showcase will be featuring a live performance by East Coast on Wednesday, March 13th, from 8:00-8:45pm. New York is a state in the Northeastern region of the United States. New York is the 27th-most extensive, the 3rd-most populous, and the 7th-most densely populated of the 50 United States. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south, and by Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border with Rhode Island east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Ontario to the west and north, and Quebec to the north. The state of New York is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City.

New York City, with a population of over 8.1 million, is the most populous city in the United States. Alone, it makes up over 40 percent of the population of New York state. It is known for its status as a center for finance and culture and for its status as the largest gateway for immigration to the United States. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, New York City is also a destination of choice for many foreign visitors. Both the state and city were named for the 17th century Duke of York, James Stuart, future James II and VII of England and Scotland.

New York was inhabited by various tribes of Algonquian and Iroquoian speaking Native Americans at the time Dutch settlers moved into the region in the early 17th century. In 1609, the region was first claimed by Henry Hudson for the Dutch. Fort Nassau was built near the site of the present-day capital of Albany in 1614. The Dutch soon also settled New Amsterdam and parts of the Hudson River Valley, establishing the colony of New Netherland. The British took over the colony by annexation in 1664.

The borders of the British colony, the Province of New York, were roughly similar to those of the present-day state. About one third of all the battles of the Revolutionary War took place in New York. The state constitution was enacted in 1777. New York became the 11th state to ratify the United States Constitution, on July 26, 1788.

East Coast plays music that will make each affair unique and memorable, and includes great songs that are not your typical wedding band fare. We love to entertain.

East Coast is proud to be as much a family as a business. The band has been in existence for over thirty years and has performed at well over 1000 weddings and corporate events as well as 3000 club, concert, school and church functions.

We like variety and believe that it keeps our music fresh and energetic. For over thirty years East Coast has logged thousands of performances throughout the tri-state area and beyond. These performances have included corporate parties, country club functions, charitable fund raisers, dinner dances, nightclubs and as an opening act for major recording artists.

Couples have been so confident in the band’s abilities that they have enthusiastically arranged for East Coast to perform at upscale weddings held at the Four Seasons (Boston), the Chevy Chase Club (outside Washington, D.C)., the Plaza and Hotel Pierre (N.Y.C) and at other interesting locations like New York’s Grand Central Station. East Coast also has the unique track record of only playing weddings where the bride and groom remain married forever!

I wanted to drop a couple of lines and let you know howmuch Heidi and I appreciate everything you and the band did to make our wedding spectacular. You guys truly made the party! Whenever someone talks about our wedding the first thing they say is, that band was amazing! And you were! Every single person at our reception was dancing at some point in the night, the dance floor was packed. Everyone from my grandparents to my little cousins raved about the music. One of the things we stressed out about most during planning was seating arrangements and at the end of the night Heidi and I had a laugh because in the end the seating didn’t
matter at all, nobody sat down because the music was too good! So thank you thank you thank you, our wedding reception was everything we hoped for and more because of you guys.

Long Island is an island in the U.S. state of New York. Stretching northeast into the Atlantic Ocean, Long Island contains four counties, two of which, (Brooklyn and Queens), are boroughs of New York City, and two of which are mainly suburban (Nassau and Suffolk). In popular usage, “Long Island” often refers only to Nassau and Suffolk counties in order to differentiate them from New York City, although all four counties are on the island and part of the New York metropolitan area.

As of the 2010 census, Long Island had a population of 7,568,304, making it the most populated island in any U.S. state or territory. It is also the 17th-most populous island in the world, ahead of Ireland, Jamaica and the Japanese island of Hokkaido. Its population density is 5,402 inhabitants per square mile (2,086 /km2). If it were a state, Long Island would rank 13th in population (after Virginia) and first in population density.

Both the longest and the largest island in the contiguous United States, Long Island extends 118 miles (190 km) eastward from Upper New York Bay to Montauk Point, and has a maximum north-to-south expanse of 23 miles (37 km) between the northern Long Island Sound coast and the southern Atlantic coast. With a land area of 1,401 square miles (3,629 km2), Long Island is the 11th-largest island in the United States and the 148th-largest island in the world — larger than the 1,214 square miles (3,140 km2) of the smallest state, Rhode Island.

Two of New York City’s major airports, LaGuardia Airport and JFK International Airport, are located on Long Island, in Queens. Nine bridges and 13 tunnels (including railway tunnels) connect Brooklyn and Queens (and thus Long Island) to the three other boroughs of New York City. Ferries connect Suffolk County northward across Long Island Sound to the state of Connecticut.
