With 30 years of experience and over 1000 weddings under our belt we’re happy to have performed for (and with) some amazing people. Over the years the band has performed for countless celebrities from all walks of life. These include Jon Bon Jovi, Mayor Giuliani, Martha Stewart, John Belushi, Vanessa Williams, Yankees and Mets (among hundreds of others). East Coast’s band members and singers have some awesome accomplishments of their own.

The latest one to chirp about is “Big Mike” making it to the final 4 on American Idol. From 2007 until 2/2010, Michael Lynche has been performing with East Coast as an additional vocalist.  We all take pride in helping him develop as an artist. Michael joined us for a dozen or so select performances in 2012 and will be back in NYC and more available to us in 2013.

East Coast is part of an ever expanding network of bands,  musicians and D.J.’s.  If  East Coast is booked for your date or not exactly what you are looking for (hey, it happens!) be sure to ask about alternatives. Living in New York, there is a reputation of a certain uniqueness for the people who live here. Recently reunited with their American Idol Big Mike Lynche (#4 Idol Season Nine), EAST COAST is poised to thrill yet another generation of fans.

East Coast Band and Band/DJ Formal Wedding Music Showcase will be featuring a live performance by East Coast on Wednesday, March 13th, from 8:00-8:45pm. New York is a state in the Northeastern region of the United States. New York is the 27th-most extensive, the 3rd-most populous, and the 7th-most densely populated of the 50 United States. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south, and by Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border with Rhode Island east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Ontario to the west and north, and Quebec to the north. The state of New York is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City.

New York City, with a population of over 8.1 million, is the most populous city in the United States. Alone, it makes up over 40 percent of the population of New York state. It is known for its status as a center for finance and culture and for its status as the largest gateway for immigration to the United States. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, New York City is also a destination of choice for many foreign visitors. Both the state and city were named for the 17th century Duke of York, James Stuart, future James II and VII of England and Scotland.

New York was inhabited by various tribes of Algonquian and Iroquoian speaking Native Americans at the time Dutch settlers moved into the region in the early 17th century. In 1609, the region was first claimed by Henry Hudson for the Dutch. Fort Nassau was built near the site of the present-day capital of Albany in 1614. The Dutch soon also settled New Amsterdam and parts of the Hudson River Valley, establishing the colony of New Netherland. The British took over the colony by annexation in 1664.

The borders of the British colony, the Province of New York, were roughly similar to those of the present-day state. About one third of all the battles of the Revolutionary War took place in New York. The state constitution was enacted in 1777. New York became the 11th state to ratify the United States Constitution, on July 26, 1788.

I wanted to drop a couple of lines and let you know howmuch Heidi and I appreciate everything you and the band did to make our wedding spectacular. You guys truly made the party! Whenever someone talks about our wedding the first thing they say is, that band was amazing! And you were! Every single person at our reception was dancing at some point in the night, the dance floor was packed. Everyone from my grandparents to my little cousins raved about the music. One of the things we stressed out about most during planning was seating arrangements and at the end of the night Heidi and I had a laugh because in the end the seating didn’t
matter at all, nobody sat down because the music was too good! So thank you thank you thank you, our wedding reception was everything we hoped for and more because of you guys.
